Lofrans Project Windlasses

The design of this line of vertical anchor windlasses aimed at further improving Lofrans' strong points - product dependability and performance - which come from a know-how they have gained by manufacturing thousands of anchor windlasses in over thirty-five years in business.

General Selection Guidelines: Keep in mind that a windlass doesn't care how big your boat is, only how big your chain is and how much weight it is lifting. If you have a big anchor with a lot of chain and anchor in deep water you should consider using a bigger windlass.

• Project 500 / X1 - Boats 20-32' using 1/4" chain.
• Project 1000 / X2 - Boats 23-46' using 5/16" chain.
• Project 1500 / X3 - Boats 39' to 59' using 5/16" to 3/8" chain.
• Project 2000 / X4 - Boats 59' to 82' using 5/16" to 1/2" chain.
